Singapore on China’s heels in Latin America

Singapore’s trade with Latin America has been growing at almost 30 percent annually the past three years…doubling trade in the last five years. And experts say they expect things to continue on that path due to recent and future free trade agreements. Singapore is also the second-largest Asian source of direct investment in Latin America. Singapore’s presence in Latin America includes multinational companies such as telecom equipment company Global Crossing, shipping line APL, and Flextronics.
